Honest difficulty grades
Easy, Moderate or Challenging, with hours of walking per day, so you can judge your own fitness.

On-trip help
I've never trekked. Can I do these?+
Yes. Chopta–Tungnath and the Meghalaya root-bridge walk are good first treks. Start walking 30–45 minutes a day for a month before you go.
Is there an age limit?+
Not a fixed one. We ask about health and fitness instead. High-altitude routes need a doctor's go-ahead if you have heart, lung or blood-pressure conditions.
What about safety gear?+
Helmets and life jackets for rafting, an oxygen cylinder and pulse oximeter on high-altitude drives, and a first-aid kit with every guide.
