    On-trip help

How hard is the Nongriat trek?+

Moderate. About 2 hours down on stone steps, and 1.5–2.5 hours up. Walk stairs and train your legs for a month beforehand.

Can children or older people do it?+

Fit older children can. For older people, our classic Meghalaya trip skips the overnight and the descent.

Is cliff jumping safe?+

At supervised spots, with a guide. It is optional. Skip it if you are uncomfortable.

Is it good in monsoon?+

It is lush, but trails and roads can be dangerous. We advise October to April.

Is mobile coverage good?+

Patchy in the villages and none at Nongriat. Tell family your plan beforehand.

Can I change the itinerary?+

Yes. Dates, hotels, pace and stops can all be changed; we'll re-quote.

Do I pay anything to enquire?+

No. You'll get a written plan and quote first. Payment only happens after you approve it.
