Quick answer
A 7-day Shimla and Manali family tour from Chandigarh spends two nights in Shimla and four in Manali, with the Kalka–Shimla toy train, Kufri, Solang valley, the Atal Tunnel and Naggar Castle. It costs from ₹31,500 per person, and the best seasons are March to June and September to February.
Trip Overview
Himachal's two classic hill stations, planned for families. You spend two nights in Shimla for the Mall Road, Ridge and the famous toy train, then four nights in Manali for Hadimba temple, Solang valley's snow, the Atal Tunnel and Naggar Castle.
Family rooms and a private Innova or Tempo Traveller, with planned stops and child seats on request, keep it comfortable. We stay in quieter parts of Manali and leave for Solang early, before the traffic. Two long drive days (about 8 hours) can be softened with an extra night.
