When we think of Hill stations to escape the summer heat, Mussoorie, also known as Queen of the Hills is a pretty evident choice. Mussorie holds an air of sophistication and heritage richness dating back to the 1900s. Stunning location, friendly people, tranquillity to relax, and to teleport you far from the hubbub of the city. Mussoorie got it all. In this article, I’m going to mention the Top 7 Places to visit in Mussoorie.

Kempty Fall is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Mussoorie. It is a great picnic spot and a great way to beat heat refreshingly. Bath under 40 ft Waterfall or sit on the sidelines cherishing and awestruck by the beauty of fall but be careful about slippery rocks. Man-pond nearby great for boating and swimming. Originally established by the British to have tea parties and picnic, but even after such a long time, it remains the centre of buzz and getaway for native and people in near and far places. Kempty fall 15-10 kilometres away from Mussoorie, a person can easily reach there from the cab.

It yet another great sightseeing destination situated right on Depot Hill on Landour. Lal Tibba is known for its panoramic views of peaks and captivating views of sunrise and sunset. One can enjoy and observe the scenic beauty more closely from the top with help of telescopes installed on the top. Its location also offers some short trekking trails for all the trekking enthusiasts to get rush or people who prefer to shot can venture into local markets for souvenirs or to discover some local speciality. Mist Lake

A mist lake is a natural water body formed by the river Kempty. Lake is the perfect spot for renting a boat for an hour or taking a walk or for picnic moreover surrounded by nature and relatively less crowded than Mussoorie lake, it makes up for the calm and relaxing experience to have with family and friends. The cherry on the top is, it is located on the way to Kempty falls and 10 Kilometers from the main city. Mist lake offer accommodation facilities and people coming from far can crash here.

Benog Wildlife Sanctuary

If you are someone who enjoys bird watching or enjoys being near flora and fauna, then head towards Benog Wildlife Sanctuary, it is home to panther, leopard, bear, mountain goat, bear, deer, Red-billed Blue Magpie, mountain quails, etc. Midst deodar and Cider tree you can also find plenty of medicinal plants. Sanctuary also has some best scenic routes and near locations like cloud’s end or Hathipaon Estate. Lodging facilities are also available nearby if an individual wish to stay back a few more days for a more profound experience.

House of great general has become an archaeological site over the looking doon valley in all its glory. If the rich history associated with this site does not sound enticing enough to you then definitely take the view into consideration-City of Dehradun and Himalayan peak.
