Hello People. Myself Yogesh Karn and I am doing my MBA in Tourism & Event Management. Interested in traveling? Join me! kerela. Kerala offers everything a traveler may want from a vacation spot. It has everything from stunning hills, spice and tea plantations, peaceful beaches, and placid backwaters. On this journey, we visited Munnar, Alleppey, and Kochi. I have split this post into two sections. Part one will cover how we got to Munnar and everything we did there, and Part two will cover Alleppey and Kochi.

All About Munnar

Part- I

Munnar Bus

After the plane landed in Kochi, the weather was extremely hot. Plan was to have a road trip from Kochi to Munnar. During the road trip, we discovered many tea farms and herb plantations. Destinations were at Clouds Valley The hotel is in the middle of town, convenient to many sites, and easy to find. The staff was very accommodating, and the delicious breakfast buffet included both North and South cuisine. overall enjoyed my visit.

Back Water Ride
Munnar Backwater Ride

After lunch, we went backwater boating; the boat excursion was supposed to cost Rs 2800, but we negotiated for Rs 2500 for an hour. On the boat excursion, we noticed a variety of birds. We also enjoyed coconut water between the Backwater.

Snacks & Shopping
Munnar Food

In Kerala, filter coffee is a popular beverage. We consumed that and enjoyed in the Sadhya Thali, a traditional Keralan dish. It includes Plain boiled rice served with various curries, Koottaan, which also includes dishes like kaalan, avial, thoran, olan, pachadi, kichadi, koottukari, erissery, mango pickle, and curries like parippu, sambar, rasam, and pulisseri. From the emporium, we purchased a variety of goods, including coconut oil, chocolates, boat houses, and many more. The best part was Munnar’s spectacular weather. It felt like 10°C outside.

Other Cities

Part- II

Alleppey
Munnar Houseboat

In Kerala, one of the most beautiful cities is Alleppey, often known as Alappuzha. Alleppey, also referred to as the “Venice of the East,” is well known for its backwaters. Since it is home to thousands of houseboats and a wide network of backwaters, it is even referred to as the hub of Kerala’s backwaters. We went to the Boathouse for the whole day they roamed around the backwater of Alleppey and they made food for us for that day. The two air-conditioned rooms are quite cozy and tidy. Overall, both the food and the trip were fantastic.

Dream Land and Wonder Garden Adventure Park
Munnar

It begins with an entry ticket of 500/Per. Under one roof, a lot of items are available here. There are many exciting activities in the park. It is a very popular location for those looking for adventure. The entrance ticket covers all of the events. I have experienced all of the rides, including bunjee jumping, sky riding, and bridge crossing, among others. This location is one that should be visited with friends and family.

Jew Town
Munnar Jew Town

The ideal next stop on your vacation schedule after exploring the mountain stations, sea beaches, and beautiful backwaters of this captivating state would be shopping. Additionally, Jew Town in Kochi is the best spot to find traditional Kerala goods and trinkets. The area, which is near Mattancherry Fall, is constantly crowded with shoppers and antique enthusiasts. You will find everything in each and every shops.

Conclusion

We said goodbye to Kerala’s gorgeous scenery, calm backwaters, and kind residents as the tour came to an emotional finale. We had a bit of Kerala in our hearts when we boarded our flight back home, along with only memories.
