About Madhya Pradesh
The heart of India holds the Chandela temples of Khajuraho, Orchha's riverside palaces and chhatris, and some of the best tiger country in the world: Bandhavgarh, Kanha and Pench.
To the west, Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar on the Narmada are two of the twelve Jyotirlingas, an easy trip from Indore.

- October to March for sightseeing; tiger sightings peak March to June. Park core zones close from July to September.

- Fly to Khajuraho, Jabalpur or Indore. Orchha is 16 km from Jhansi railway station.
